Between 2001 and 2004, writer Grant Morrison took over Marvel’s X-Men comic and went Full Grant Morrison™ on them. I’m now going Full Dan Liebke™ on this Fully Grant Morrison™ run.
Here, then, is the complete Grant Morrison run of the X-Men, analysed like you’ve never seen them analysed before. Each and every issue, reimagined through my stubbornly distorted perspective. PLUS detailed character profiles that include aliases, fun facts and cryptic crossword clues for all the major characters in this run. This is the X-Men as they were never meant to be read.
This collection covers specifically issues 114 through 154, plus the 2001 Annual. They’re split into the seven (7) major story arcs of Morrison’s run, which, perhaps not coincidentally, correspond to the trade paperback editions that Marvel later published. If you want to read along, you should probably find editions of these trade paperbacks (or, indeed, the massive Titanium Baseball Bat-like Omnibus Edition) from either your local bookstore, library or Marvel Unlimited App, because goodness knows, in this book I’m not explaining things in anything that even resembles comprehensive detail.

A legal note: these recaps are parody and fan commentary on Marvel Comics’ intellectual property. The X-Men, Morrison’s storylines, panel images, all related characters, most of my best jokes, all of my worst jokes, and my ongoing disdain for Cyclops are all owned by Marvel.
